The City of Shechem is Constantly Developing

Shechem: a culture, a history and a promising future

Shechem is a historic city built by the Canaanites over 5,000 years ago and it is considered to be one of the oldest cities in the world. The city is located in the northern part of Judea and Samaria, within the Jordan Valley between the Abel Mountain in the north and the Mount Gerizim in the south.

Shechem and it's surrounding suburbs are well-known for their agriculture and candy industries, and it is considered to be the economic capital of northern Judea and Samaria. In recent years, Shechem has become a city of prosperity and economic progression in construction and trade. The city's development can be recognized by its new infrastructure developments, such as institutions, sports centers and shops, which include many international brands. Shechem welcomes thousands of visitors from all over Judea and Samaria, Israel and from around the world. Three different religions peacefully live amongst one another in Shechem: Muslims, Christians and Samaritans.
